EHR Helpdesk Support - Full Time

Amherst, OH

Under the supervision of the Information Technology Director, this position will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving helpdesk issues as they arise for the software utilized by NOMS Healthcare.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of NOMS application workflows and the ability to teach them as needed.
  • Ability to resolve and escalate helpdesk tickets and calls to see that they are resolved appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with the analyst team and EHR vendor helpdesk to escalate and resolve software problems appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Assists users to identify software and procedural requirements.
  • Maintain excellent customer service while working with NOMS physicians and team members.
  • Assist analyst team with new user training, office workflow rounding, and new office onboarding as needed.
  • Ensures that the software functions efficiently on a daily basis and remains in safe functioning condition.
  • Stays abreast of leading-edge information technology, communications and healthcare software applications.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of electronic medical record processes, workflows and medical data processing practice.
  • Possess an understanding of workflows, policies, procedures, patient care and clinical business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to be oriented to end-user support needs across multiple sites.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, both written and oral.

Education and Experience:

  • High school education or GED.
  • Clinical license or certification preferred (RMA, CMA, LPN).
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.
  • Electronic Health Record and/or eClinicalWorks experience preferred.
  • Experience with Konica Exa PACS/RIS preferred.

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Must be flexible, will include some evening hours.
  • Position requires travel to outlying offices 50% of the time and could include overnight stays.

Environmental/Working Conditions:

  • Office setting and computer facility. Minimal exposure to communicable diseases.
