Clinical Super User - CMA/RMA or LPN - Full Time

NOMS Healthcare is seeking to hire a Full Time Clinical Super User (Amherst, Westlake, Lyndhurst, Sandusky and Genoa) who is passionate about providing quality healthcare to our patients while gaining clinical experience in multiple specialties. The Clinical Super User is responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, chart management, scheduling appointments and assisting with in office procedures; other duties may include back office ACO and IT tasks. The Clinical Super User will be the lead Super User in their county and will travel to area offices to assist with daily clinical functions.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complies with all HIPAA and OSHA regulations and policies.
  • Assists in area offices that need additional clinical assistances and support.

Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned which may include: checking schedules and organizing patient flow; accompanying patients to exam/procedure room; assisting patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exam, etc.; collecting patient history; performing screenings per provider guidelines; assisting physicians/nurses with various procedures; charting; relaying instructions to patients/families; answering calls and providing pertinent information.

Fulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned which may include: sending/receiving patient medical records; obtaining lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, referral information, etc.; completing forms/requisitions as needed; scheduling appointments; verifying insurance coverage and patient demographics; managing charts to ensure information completed and filed appropriately.

Fulfills environmental responsibilities as assigned which may include: setting up instruments and equipment according to department protocol; cleaning exam/procedure rooms, instruments and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control; cleaning sterilizer according to scheduled maintenance program and keeping appropriate records; ordering, sorting, storing supplies; restocking exam/procedure rooms.

Fulfills organizational responsibilities as assigned which may include: respecting/promoting patient rights; responding appropriately to emergency codes; sharing problems relating to patients and/or staff with immediate supervisors quickly.

  • Maintains excellent autonomy over the position and daily duties that coincide with patient care.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with physicians, co-workers, patients and patients’ families.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Graduate of Medical Assisting Program or Accredited Nursing School preferred.
  • Minimum of two years work experience in public contact job, preferably medical office environment.
  • One year experience with being a clinical lead.
  • Possible bonus opportunities available throughout employment.

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • Maintains CPR certification
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant Certification or License Practice Nurse (CMA, NRCMA, RMA or LPN) Required.

Environmental/Working Conditions:

  • Combination of medical office and exam/procedure room settings. Well-lighted, well-ventilated, adequate space. Exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions common to medical office setting.

Physical/Mental Demands:

  • Must be able to use appropriate body mechanics techniques when making necessary patient transfers and helping patients with walking, dressing, etc. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds of supplies.
